When Brian was 5 he won a pocket radio in a contest at school. It had an earplug and could pick up the local a.m. stations from Chicago...
"I used to listen at night when I would go to sleep, and would sometimes wake up with the earplug still in my ear. I used to love listening to the old Soul and Blues and R&B coming out of the big city. I used to turn it off when the commercials would come on to save the battery... "
When he was 9 he got his first snare drum and a few years later at age 15 he got his first drum set. Brian has been playing some formation of a kit ever since. |
